Chelsea in advanced talks to sign PSG star

Chelsea are in advanced talks with Thiago Silva according to Liam Twomey. He reports in The Athletic that the Brazilian has been in talks with The Blues for several days. 

Thiago Silva is available on a free transfer as his contract at PSG expires this Sunday night after the Champions League final. The centre-back turns 36 this September but Chelsea see him as the leader the lack in the squad right now.

However, a deal has not been agreed just yet. The contract situation has not been resolved yet, and he has other offers as well.

Fabrizio Romano has added that Thiago Silva was offered to Chelsea by his agent a few days ago. The Brazilian defender also has offers from Fiorentina and three more clubs with all being in touch with him.

Thiago Silva is expected to decide his future after the Champions League final with PSG. The French side take on Bayern Munich in Portugal on Sunday.
