Barcelona eye stunning deal for Arsenal star
Arsenal Rumours: Barcelona are looking to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this month according to Goal’s Charles Watts. He reports that the Catalan giants want the striker on loan for the rest of the season.
The Spanish side are on the hunt for a striker as Luis Suarez is out for 4 months. The Uruguayan has undergone an operation on an injury to the lateral meniscus in his right knee.
Aubameyang is now their top target but they are looking to sign him only on loan. The striker has just 18 months left on his current Arsenal contract and has been linked with a move away.
Charles Watts reports that Barcelona are not interested in making the deal permanent and instead will make move for Lautaro Martinez in the summer. He reports that the Inter Milan striker is their top target to sign permanently.
The offer is very likely to be rejected by Arsenal and Watts reports that it could be greeted with an angry response. Aubameyang is suspended right now after receiving a red card against Crystal Palace but is still their top scorer and club captain right now.
