Wilshere joined West Ham in the summer after his release from Arsenal. His contract expires at the end of the 2017/18 season and he rejected the offer the Gunners put on the table.

The Englishman confirmed that he spoke with the new manager, Unai Emery before deciding not to sign the new deal. He claimed that he was not happy with the role he was offered by the former PSG manager and decided that he wanted to join a club where he can play regularly.

Wilshere started the first 4 Premier League games this season and played full 90 minutes in the first three. He came off in the 64th minute vs Wolverhampton and was ruled out of the game vs Everton.
