Tottenham provide update on Hugo Lloris’ injury

Tottenham news: Hugo Lloris suffered a horrific injury on Saturday during the 3-0 loss at Brighton and Hove Albion. The Frenchman fell on his hand while trying to grab the ball just as Brighton took a 1-0 lead.

Tottenham fans feared that the club captain was set to miss a few months with a broken arm but the club have now reported that it was a dislocated elbow. The fact that it is not a broken bone is a huge boost but Lloris is still expected to be out for 2-3 months.

Tottenham’s statement read:

โ€œWe can confirm that Hugo Lloris sustained a dislocated elbow during todayโ€™s match against Brighton. Our Club Captain was stretchered off as a result of the injury and will now return to London this evening after being assessed at a local hospital. Assessment will continue this coming week to ascertain the full extent of the injury and the length of time he will require to undergo rehabilitation.โ€

A serious dislocated elbow injury usually takes 4-6 weeks to recover. For Lloris to return to the pitch, it should take another 2-3 weeks of rehab.
