Tottenham eye stunning move for Barcelona star

Tottenham have reportedly set sights on signing Philippe Coutinho in January.

Antonio Conte is looking to add firepower to his Tottenham side and has confirmed he wants new singings. As per a report in El Nacional, Philippe Coutinho is a target for the Italian as he wants an attacking midfielder.

Barcelona are open to selling the Brazilian and reportedly want £17 million for him. The former Liverpool star is out of favor at Camp Nou and has been linked with various clubs across Europe.

However, Tottenham are looking to snap him on a free transfer and see if Barcelona are willing to terminate the midfielder’s contract. 

Tottenham not alone in Philippe Coutinho chase

Arsenal and Newcastle United were also said to be interested in signing Philippe Coutinho. The two sides are still in the hunt and are expected to make a move in the next few days.

Everton were also linked with the Barcelona star last month, with Rafa Benitez said to be keen on a reunion.
