Tottenham 2-1 Brighton & Hove: Tottenham managed to overcome a resilient Brighton & Hove Albion to win the game 2-1 on Thursday. Goals from Harry Kane and. Dele Alli helped them win the match after going behind in the first half.

Tottenham started the game brightly and were determined to kick off the festive period with a win. Spurs were attacking all front and took the lead through Harry Kane. However, VAR rule dit out as his armpit was offside.

Brighton then took the lead through Webster who headed in from Gross’ freekick. The defender managed to beat everyone inside the 6-yard box and left the home fans stunned.

The visitors managed to hold to their lead until Kane latched on to an error at the back. Brighton’s defence tried to pass the ball but a deflection fell a the feet of Kane. His first shot was blocked by Matt Ryan but the Spurs striker managed to beat the keeper with his 2nd shoot.

The introduction of Christian Eriksen for Harry WInks gave Tottenham a new life and they capitalized on it. A brilliant ball by the Danish midfielder found Aurier in the box who squared it to Dele Alli. The Englishman somehow managed to scoop it over the Brighton keeper to give Spurs the lead.
