Manchester United confident of signing midfielder for a record fee

Manchester United are currently rebuilding themselves under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and they are also preparing themselves for life without Paul Pogba.

The Daily Star reports that the Red Devils are getting increasingly confident of luring away Atletico Madrid’s midfielder Saul Niguez. The club is preparing a record fee of £135 million to bring the Spaniard to Old Trafford.

Solskjaer views Saul as the perfect replacement for Paul Pogba who has been constantly linked with a move to Real Madrid and Juventus. It is expected that in case the Frenchman departs the club are likely to pocket £100 million.

Manchester United’s scouts were also present in the game between Liverpool and Atletico Madrid in the Champions League Round of 16, as the Spanish side eliminated the defending champions.

The Red Devils believe that he will be a huge success at the club and they are also willing to make him the club’s top earner. The club wants him to partner him with Burno Fernandes and re-establish United as a top side.
