Gareth Bale’s agent comments on forward’s Real Madrid future

Real Madrid news: Gareth Bale’s agent has revealed that his client is unlikely to leave Real Madrid any time soon. Jonathan Barnett was talking to ESPN when he claimed that a move in the January transfer window was not possible and that Bale is unlikely to move in the summer as well.

“Bale is not going anywhere in winter and in summer he is very unlikely to leave.”

The Welshman was a favourite to leave since the return of Zinedine Zidane as he was hardly picked. Last summer, there was a lot of talk of Bale leaving with Zidane openly admitting that the forward was not in his plans.

However, an injury to Marco Asensio changed things and Bale stayed put. He has now played regularly this season and has been doing well.

Gareth Bale’s contract expires in 2022 and his agent has always insisted that the contract will be rundown. Manchester United and Bayern Munich were the only European clubs to have shown interest in the former Tottenham star in the summer while an offer from China was also mentioned in various reports.
