Real Madrid are closely monitoring Raheem Sterling’s contract situation at Manchester City as per ESPN. The Englishman has just 2 years left on his current deal, and reports suggest that he is not happy with the fresh contract offered by City.

The 23-year-old is now a target for Los Blancos and ESPN claim that a move will be made y them soon. Should Sterling rebuff the contract negotiations, City might be forced to sell him next summer as he will have just one-year left on his current deal.

“Definitely, it would be nice to play abroad. It would be a great experience. Spain’s attractive. Anywhere the weather is nice really,” in December 2017.

Sterling was quoted by The Sun in 2017 saying he would be open to playing abroad. The winger also mentioned that he would be attracted to LaLiga, as long as the weather is really nice.

Rumour Rating: 7/10

ESPN are very reliable when it comes to transfer rumours and Sterling to aReal Madrid is something that could happen. The Spanish side is struggling for goals and with Sterling available for a cut-price, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he ends up playing for the Bernabeu side next season.
