Palmeiras vs FC Porto – Player Ratings and Match Report
Palmeiras vs FC Porto has surprisingly turned out to be the best match of the FIFA Club World Cup so far. Another goalless draw in Group A after AL Ahly vs Inter Miami, but this one was miles better.
It was an end-to-end game from start to end, and it kept the fans at the edge of their seats in every single attack. The Brazilian side had the first chance to score in the FIFA Club World Cup game, but Chelsea-bound Estevao Willian put his effort just wide of the post.
The Portuguese side were quick to react and tried to take the lead, but the Palmeiras goalkeeper was on top of his game. However, it was the players in Green and White who should have gone ahead before the break, but they just could not score.
Estevao had his shot saved before Rios had his effort seconds later cleared off the line. The youngster had another chance to give his side the lead, but his shot was deflected off for a corner.
The game continued to be end-to-end in the second half as well, but neither side was able to score. Palmeiras came close in the 83rd minute when they hit the post, but that was their best effort in the second 45.
