Neymar accused of rape by Brazilian woman

According to reports in Brazil, Neymar has been accused of rape by a woman in the South American country. The incident reportedly took place in France on May 15th and the complaint was lodged in Brazil on May 31st.

The model was texted by Neymar on Instagram and through a friend named Gallo, a trip for her to France was arranged. While in Paris, the Brazilian star reportedly forced himself on her after getting drunk.

In her complaint to the police, the woman accused Neymar of being aggressive and, through violence, have sexual intercourse without the consent of the victim. She returned to her country on May 17th was shaken and did not approach the police.

However, on Friday, May 31st, she lodged the complaint. The report by UOL Sport reveals that Neymar was already made aware that she was going to register a complaint but he claimed he was unaware of any such incident.

The PSG star has refused to make any statement and is waiting to get more details from the police regarding the complaint. The report also adds that if the victim has made a false accusation, she may be charged for defamation and false reporting of crime.

The last week has been a tough one for Neymar on and off the pitch. He was stripped of the Brazil National Team captaincy by Tite for Copa America and now a rape case has been registered against him.
