Newcastle United have agreed a deal with Atlanta United for Miguel Almiron, according to Roberto Rojas. The American journalist reports that the midfielder will be joining on loan until the end of the season with an option to sign permanently for £15 million in the summer.

Miguel Almiron enjoyed a great 2018 season with Atlanta and was a vital part of their first team. He scored 13 goals and assisted 11 in the 36 MLS matches he played.

Newcastle have been struggling on and off the pitch with Mike Ashley looking to sell the club. The Sports Direct owner is not willing to spend on new signings and that has seen Rafa Benitez and the fans go on record to question the owner.

The Magpies have not broken their transfer record for quite some time and Michael Owen still remains as their record signing. The fans have been pleading for a big signing but that just doesn’t seem to happen.
