Maurizio Sarri set for Serie A return

Maurizio Sarri is reportedly set to leave Chelsea at the end of the season. The Italian manager has taken the London side back to the Champions League and is on the verge of winning the Europa League, but the fans are not happy with him.

The Chelsea board are now considering options to replace the Italian as per reports in the United Kingdom. Club legend and current Derby County manager, Frank Lampard is on top of the list while Massimiliano Allegri is also said to be in contention.

Meanwhile, Sportitalia report that Sarri would not remain unemployed for long. He has already been linked with the AS Roma job but reports now suggest that Juventus are also keen on signing him.

The Italian TV channel were the first to report Sarri’s move to Chelsea last summer. They now claim that Juve have moved ‘steps closer’ top getting the former Napoli manager back to Serie A.

Rumour Ratings: 5/10

Sarri’s future at Chelsea is in doubts but a move to Juventus is a big step. The manager was successful in making Napoli title contenders but was unable to win them the Serie A despite a brilliant season.

Sportitalia are a very reliable source but a move to Serie A seems unlikely unless Chelsea decide to sack the manager. And with a transfer ban yet to be frozen, The Blues might just stick with Sarri for some more time.
