Manchester United appoint Ole Gunnar Solskjær

Manchester United have confirmed the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjær on a permanent deal. The Red Devils have handed him a 3-year deal and it will come into effect from July 1st.

Solskjaer took charge on an interim basis in December after United sacked Jose Mourinho. The former United striker has adapted quickly and has turned things around for the Red Devils.

“From the first day I arrived, I felt at home at this special club. It was an honour to be a Manchester United player, and then to start my coaching career here.” said Solskjaer, who left Molde to return to Old Trafford.

“The last few months have been a fantastic experience and I want to thank all of the coaches, players and staff for the work we’ve done so far,” added the manager.

Ole continued, “This is the job that I always dreamed of doing and I’m beyond excited to have the chance to lead the club long-term and hopefully deliver the continued success that our amazing fans deserve.”

Manchester United are set to face Barcelona in the Champions League next and in the Premier League, they host Watford on Saturday, 30th March.
