Manchester United star ‘in talks’ with Juventus

Joining Manchester United was a dream for Alexis Sanchez but it soon turned into a nightmare. The Red Devils star has not been on top of his game ever since he left Arsenal and the United faithful want him sold.

Sanchez is currently the highest paid player at the club but is the one who has not been in form for a long time. His high wages have made it difficult for the Red Devils to negotiate a deal with other players and it has seen the likes of De Gea and Herrera reject contracts offered to them.

According to CalcioMercato, the Chilean is set to end his nightmare at Old Trafford this summer. The forward is reportedly in talks with Juventus and his agent has held meetings with the Italian side’s sporting director, Fabio Paratici.

Previous reports suggested that Inter Milan were looking to sign him as well. Antonio Conte is reportedly set to become the San Siro side’s next manager and he tried to sign the forward during his time at Chelsea. United’s Romelu Lukaku has also been linked with Nerazzurri while the Italian side’s winger, Ivan Perisic has been rumoured to be a target for the Red Devils for a long time.

Rumour Ratings: 6/10

While Sanchez is looking to leave Manchester United, Juventus do not really need him. Unless they are looking to replace one one of Juan Cuadrado or Douglas Costa, the Chilean will be a very expensive substitute.

The former Arsenal star reportedly earns £400k per week at Old Trafford and that is not something Juventus will match at any cost. While he did not cost anything for United to sign him, they would demand in excess of £40 million for him.
