Manchester United set for contract talks with Paul Pogba

Man Utd Rumours: Manchester United are looking to open contract extension negotiations for Paul Pogba with his agent Mino Raiola. ESPN are reporting that the Red Devils will open talks with the agent in coming weeks.

In the last summer transfer window, there was very intense speculation regarding Pogba’s future at Old Trafford. Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane was desperate to bring him to Bernabeu, while Juventus and PSG were also linked with him.

Manchester United want to offer him a new contract and with the departure of high wage earners in Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez (loan) to Inter Milan, the Red Devils have wage budget to offer him a bumper package.

Ole Gunnar Solskjear is keen to keep the Frenchman at Old Trafford after securing the long term futures of Victor Lindelof and David De Gea. Pogba still has two years left on his current contract with an option of one-year extension which can be triggered by the club.

It is believed that Pogba is keen on moving to Bernabeu to link up Zidane in Madrid, but he has not ruled out the option of staying put at Old Trafford as well.

ESPN are a highly reliable source and do not makeup transfer rumours to drive traffic to their website. They are also very picky while reporting transfer rumours and could be spot on one again.
