One Liverpool player was not keen on celebrating Alisson’s goal vs West Brom

Alisson created history on Sunday after scoring a late winner against West Bromwich Albion. The Brazilian is the first goalkeeper in Liverpool’s history to score in a competitive game.

The 95th-minute winner ensured Liverpool are still in the race for a top 4 finish. The players surrounded Alisson after the goal, but one player did not look too happy.

Gini Wijnaldum didn’t rush to celebrate

Georginio Wijnaldum was in the box while the goal was scored but unlike all the other Liverpool players, he did not seem happy. The Dutchman slowly made his way to the players and did not look interested in celebrating.

The midfielder is heading towards the end of his Liverpool contract, and reports suggest Wijnaldum will be leaving the club this summer. Some reports suggest he has rejected the contract offer from Liverpool, while others claim he has not been offered one yet.

Barcelona are reported to be the club leading the race to sign Wijnaldum this summer. The Catalan side were keen on signing him last summer as well but they could not agree on a deal with Liverpool.
