Liverpool 4-1 Norwich City: Player Ratings

Liverpool have kicked off their 2019/20 Premier League season in stunning style. The Reds registered an easy 4-1 win over newcomers, Norwich City at Anfield on Friday night.

An unfortunate own goal by Grant Hanley in the 7th minute got things rolling for Liverpool and it was all one-sided from then. Mo Salah got on the scoresheet in the 19th minute before assisting Van Dijk from a corner in the 28th minute.

Liverpool’s excellent start took a bump in the 39th minute when Alisson went down injured after taking a goal kick. The Brazilian had to be taken off and was replaced with Adriann, who was signed on a free transfer on Monday.

Divock Origi, whose cross resulted in the 1st goal, got on the scoresheet in the 42nd minute to make it 4-0 for the Reds. Norwich did well in the 2nd half and did not concede a single goal. They did manage to pull one back thanks to a superb finish by Teemu Pukki in the 64th minute.

Norwich fans were delighted with the performance of their players in the 2nd half, that they were singing ‘1-0 in the second half’ towards the end of the game.
