Bayern Munich cool interest in Leroy Sane as they target another German forward

Bayern Munich have been wildly chasing Manchester City winger Leroy Sane since last summer, despite his long term injury the Bavarians kept on making attempts to lure him back to the Bundesliga.

In a strange turn of events as reported by Kicker the German giants are no longer willing to pursue the former Schkale winger.

The club bosses understand that due to coronavirus they will hit hard financially and it would make it difficult for them to bring Sane to the Allianz Arena.

The Bavarians are now also not sure about the mentality of Sane, for Bayern qualities such as character and inner values are very significant for requirements. Not only this they want the player they are signing to should be more team-driven rather pursue selfish interests at the club.

The German internatioal in 2019 said yes to a move to Bayern and he has suddenly cancelled on the promise made by him.

Though Sane’s value is likely to drop due to his injury and coronavirus but Bayern are aware that he will be a top earner at the club and it would tantamount to the same kind of money they would have paid to Manchester City.

Thus the Bavarians have switched there attention to RB Liepzeg forward Timo Werner instead who is likely to cost less than Sane and his current contract with Liepzeg he has a release clause as well, making it easier for Bayern to negoitate.
