Pep Guardiola wants Juventus star at Manchester City

Manchester City’s defensive problems have been brutally exposed this season as their legendary captain Vincent Kompany departed the club. The club decided not to bring in any reinforcements and looks like they are paying the price of the same.

In order to solve their defensive woes, they will now target Juventus star Leonardo Bonucci. According to Daily Mail Guardiola wants to bring the Italian to the Ethihad.

The former Bayern Munich manager clearly has lost his faith in John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi. While Aymeric Laporte has been injury-prone in recent times.

However, the Bianconeri are determined to keep him at the Allianz Arena. Current manager Maurizio Sarri views him as indispensable to his plans and is determined to keep hold of their priced asset.

Though Bonucci did leave the Old Lady for their rivals AC Milan in 2017 only to return to the club next year. This season he made 34 appearances in all competitions.

The Citizens did have previously tried to sign the former AC Milan defender but did not succeed as he decided to stay in Turin.

Can Leonardo Bonucci be the answer?
