Inter Milan and Juventus set to battle it out for Chelsea defender
According to Calciomercato, Emerson Palmeri is a target for Juventus and Inter Milan this summer. Chelsea are already looking to sign a left-back and will be open to letting the Italian leave.
Emerson Palmeri has fallen down the Chelsea pecking order, as manager Frank Lampard has preferred Marcos Alonso in 2020. Even in Alonso’s absence, it is club captain Cesear Azpillcueta who has played as a left-back.
The former Roma left-back has just made 18 appearances in this season in all competitions and it looks like his time in England will soon come to an end.
Emerson’s agent has also spoken about Juve’s and Inter’sinterest in him. Currently, the Binaconeri are managed by Maurizio Sarri and Inter are managed by Antonio Conte. Both of them were Chelsea managers under whom Emerson has played for the club.
The Brazilian born left-back was signed by Chelsea from Roma in 2018 for a fee of £20million.
