Gareth Bale’s move to Jiangsu Suning is off

Gareth Bale’s proposed move to Chinese Super League side, Jiangsu Suning is off according to David Ornstein. The BBC journalist reports that Real Madrid are the ones who pulled the plug on the deal.

The Welshman was told he was free to leave Bernabeu this summer as Zinedine Zidane was not keen on having him around. Bale was open to joining any side willing to pay his wages but no European side looked interested.

Jiangsu Suning then came forward with an offer and reports suggested he was all set to join the CSL side. They had a deal with Madrid and the player and only a few formalities were left if reports are to be believed.

Bale’s agent had also confirmed that the player would not be moving out on loan and any move away from Bernabeu would be a permanent one. Reports suggested that he had agreed a 3-year deal with the Chinese side.

However, it looks like the injury to Marco Asensio has changed things at the club. The Spaniard suffered an ACL injury during the pre-season match against Arsenal and is set to be out for the majority of the season.
