Sources: Manchester United and Inter Milan close to agreeing deal for Romelu Lukaku

Manchester United and Inter Milan are very close to agreeing a deal for Romelu Lukaku according to our sources at the Premier League club. The fee has been agreed between the two clubs and only the structure of payment is yet be decided right now.

Lukaku is keen on moving to San Siro and reports suggest he has already agreed terms with the Serie A side. The move was first made by Inter a couple of months back when they contacted the striker’s agent and revealed their interest.

Antonio Conte is said to be the main man behind this move as the manager is a big fan of the striker. he tried to sign him at Chelsea as well but the club refused to pay the fee Mino Raiola was demanding and Lukaku moved to Old Trafford instead.

The move has not been a good one as the fans are desperate to see his back right now. He has scored 40+ goals in his 2 seasons at the club but the Red Devils faithful want someone more reliable to lead their attack.

The reported interest of Juventus is what forced Inter to up their offer for Lukaku and United are happy with the current deal.

The Serie A champions were reportedly ready to offer Paulo Dybala in a swap deal to land Lukaku this summer. However, reports then emerged that United were demanding Douglas Costa instead of the Argentine.

It looks like Lukaku will be getting his ‘dream move’ soon and he will be switching to San Siro next week. The striker is not a part of the squad for the next pre-season game as well and has been sitting out of the previous ones too.
