Europa League draw: Round of 16 ties confirmed
Europa League draw: The draw for the Round of 16 of the Europa League was held at the UEFA Headquarters on Friday. The matches will take place on March 12 and 19 unless they are shifted for security purposes.
15 of the 16 teams have qualified for the next round of the Europa League with just one fixture remaining – Eintracht Frankfurt vs RB Salzburg.
There are some interesting fixtures in the next round with the Sevilla taking on AS Roma in what could be dubbed as the Monchi derby. Inter Milan vs Getafe and Rangers vs Bayer Leverkusen are also seen the most exciting fixtures of the round.
Manchester United and Wolverhampton lead the Premier League charge in the Europa League this season with last year’s runners-up, Arsenal crashing out last night. The Red Devils face LASK from Austria while Wolves face the team who knocked the Gunners out last night, Olympiacos.
