Xavi Simons open to Chelsea move with talks with RB Leipzig set to begin – Reports

Xavi Simons is reportedly open to joining Chelsea this summer, as Enzo Maresca’s side makes the first move to sign RB Leipzig star.

Chelsea are looking to add more firepower to their attack and see Xavi Simons as the ideal next addition. The Blues are set to begin talks with RB Leipzig this week, but face competition from Arsenal.

The FIFA Club World Cup champions have added Liam Delap, Joรฃo Pedro, Jamie Gittens this summer, while Willian Estevao is set to join next month. They also have a deal in place for Sporting CP teenager Geovany Quenda to join in 2026.

The Blues’ move for Simons depends on outgoing, with Joao Felix and Christopher Nkunku expected to leave this summer. Matt Law of The Telegraph has now reported that there is interest and the Dutchman is also open to joining.

Apart from Simons, Chelsea are also keeping tabs on Alejandro Garnacho and Morgan Rogers, while Fermin Lopez of Barcelona has also been linked. Arsenal are also keeping tabs on the RB Leipzig star this summer, but their main target remains Eberechi Eze, after they seal the signing of Viktor Gyokeres.

Chelsea have an advantage in the Simons chase as Ali Barat represents him. The agent has worked with the Blues in the recent windows, and helped them sign Moises Caicedo and Nicolas Jackson, who has been linked with an exit as well.ย ย
