Arsene Wenger breaks silence amid Bayern Munich rumours

Bayern Munich news: Arsene Wenger has confirmed that he would not refuse to talk to Bayern Munich about managing them. The former Arsenal manager is without a club right now and with the German champions looking for a new manager, he has been linked with them.

โ€œI’d never refuse to talk to Bayern Munich because I have known the people who lead the club for 30 years. I was nearly going to Bayern a long, long time ago. At the moment, that’s all I can say. At the moment, I haven’t talked to them at all!โ€ he said on beIN Sports.

When asked if there are possibilities of talks, Wenger replied: โ€œI don’t know. We haven’t talked to each other and I don’t know. I want to just do what I like now. I’ve not decided yet if I will go back [to coach] on the pitch or not. I’m quite happy with what I’m doing but I miss the pitch as well.โ€

He added โ€œIt’s a difficult decision for me at the moment. I will make that decision in the coming days or in the coming weeks.โ€

Bayern Munich sacked Niko Kovac on Sunday following their 5-1 defeat at Eintracht Frankfurt. Our sources at the club have reported that Wenger is currently not in their plans.

Sources have also added that the German side have opened talks with Paris Saint-Germain for Thomas Tuchel. Ajaxโ€™s Erik ten Hag and Hansi Flick are the other candidates they are eyeing.
