Newcastle United will be wondering how they managed to get only a point from the Aston Villa clash at Villa Park. The Magpies dominated the game from the start and could not take advantage of the home side playing with 10 men for over 25 minutes.
Eddie Howe’s side were without Alexander Isak, and it was evident in their attack, as none of the attackers could capitalize on their chances. Anthony Elanga had the best chance of the game, but failed to convert from a one-on-one chance in the first half.
Newcastle United had 16 shots in the entire game, but failed to create a single big chance in the second half. Aston Villa had a forgettable game in all departments, and only goalkeeper Marco Bizot had something to be proud of today.
