Alexandre Lacazette drops major hint about Arsenal future

With Arsenal struggling to stay afloat in the race for a Champions League spot next season, several of their star players have been linked with moves away from the Emirates.

The Gunners sit ninth in the Premier League, seven points off the fourth spot which is currently occupied by Chelsea, and could see a mass exodus if they fail to land a Champions League berth next season.

French striker Alexandre Lacazette is one of many Arsenal players with uncertain futures, but the 28-year-old has revealed that he is happy at the club and not looking to leave in the summer.

Reports suggested that Lacazette’s contract had a clause that would allow him to leave if Arsenal fail to secure CL football next season, but the Frenchman has quashed those rumours, stating that he is unaware of any such condition in his deal.

“I didn’t know about this [the clause]. I don’t know. I have a contract with the club so there is no reason for me to leave if everybody is happy with me at the club.”

Arsenal’s best avenue to Champions League football next season would be the Europa League, where they face Olympiakos later tonight after having secured a 1-0 win in Greece.
