Fluminense have managed to get past Al Hilal and seal their spot at the FIFA Club World Cup semifinal. The two sides kept battling until the final kick of the game, but it was the Brazilian side that came out on top.

Fluminense took the lead in the first half thanks to a stunning goal from Martinelli. The Brazilian left the Al Hilal defense clueless and scored past Bono at the far post.

AL Hilal were awarded a penalty late in the first half, but VAR ruled it out as the contact was not intentional on Leonardo. The two sides went into the break with a 1-0 scoreline.

The Brazilian scored minutes into the second half, just like he did against Manchester City, to break the hearts of his countrymen who were playing for Fluminense. They had multiple chances to take the lead, but just could not get the ball into the back of the net.

Hercules then came off the bench to score the winner for Fluminense in the 70th minute of the game. Al Hilal went all out attacking in the final minutes, but there was no clear chance for them to score and the Brazilian side managed to seal a 2-1 win.
